Beth Waterfall named one of BostInno's "50 on Fire" for 2019!

Hello there! I'm Beth Waterfall, a collaborative leader, educator, connector and problem solver with 20 years of experience amplifying brands through a well-practiced mix of compelling marketing communications and strategic business and nonprofit development strategies.

I combine my perspective and knowledge from working with all levels of professionals in the legal, financial services, non-profit, health care, hospitality, and cannabis industries with my talents for storytelling and bringing people together to help businesses establish and meet their goals.

Before running my consultancy I cut my teeth in the marketing communications and business development departments of leading legal and financial services firms in Boston, including Nixon Peabody, Burns & Levinson, and Grant Thornton.
I thrive in dynamic, deadline-driven, and team-oriented environments, and am highly experienced with public speaking and planning and facilitating small- and large-scale events. I genuinely enjoy writing and editing, including supporting nonprofit grant applications and developing compelling proposals.

Since 2014 I've worked with a rewarding portfolio of clients, boards, and nonprofit organizations, and developed one of the largest and most trusted cannabis industry networks in New England before it was legal. My medical justice advocacy work and more than 20 years of professional experience in various compliance-focused industries means I have the knowledge and skills to build bridges and navigate challenges with the most senior—and unruly—executives, advocates, regulators, and adversaries.

In 2018, I was named to the Boston Business Journal's '40 Under 40' list in recognition of my work to break stigma and create opportunities in the cannabis industry for women and marginalized groups. In 2019, BostInno included me as a '50 on Fire' winner for my work as executive director and founder of 501c3 nonprofit ELEVATE Northeast Events and Education, Inc.

Outside the office you can find me at the beach or with my nose buried in a good thriller or classic banned book. I also enjoy writing, swimming, golf, yoga, cooking, exploring new ZIP codes, and spending time with my family, friends, and pets.
