Updated! Experienced, part-time marketing pro wanted

Seeking right hand! Thanks to the enduring confidence of existing clients and ongoing additions of new clients and opportunities (and impracticability of human cloning), I'm looking to hire a right-hand to collaborate on several projects for Beth Waterfall Creative and my clients.

This is a part-time (up to 20 hours/month), remote, 6-month contract position (to start) open to experienced marketing and media professionals with a proactive and positive attitude, a love for compelling writing and story telling, event planning experience, and passion for working with socially conscious companies in the cannabis and psychedelics industries.

It is also a unique opportunity to elevate your cannabis marketing career with access to my network of clients, lists, influencers, referral sources, and all-around amazing people making waves!

What you'll do...

  • Manage social media content and artwork development for @bethwaterfall and select client accounts

  • Maintain master events calendar with opportunities for clients' consideration and pitching

  • Attend weekly status meetings to report on current projects and to participate in creative brainstorming and strategy for upcoming projects and deadlines

  • Create effective copy for emails and other marketing materials

  • Support swag procurement and interface with vendors

  • Proofread marketing communications and advocacy-related letters and commentary

  • Coordinate and prepare speakers for events and conventions

  • On-site event tech and guest support

  • General administrative support, including scheduling meetings, sending mailings, and website maintenance for

What you bring to the team...

  • Exceptional writing and proofreading skills

  • Social media marketing experience, including managing multiple accounts and content goals on multiple platforms for multiple clients

  • Email marketing experience, including drafting copy, acquiring/formatting images, and preparing for distribution to relevant list(s)

  • Event planning, including location and logistics research and management

  • Experience and enthusiasm for mining stories for press releases, blog posts, and other thought leadership opportunities for Beth Waterfall Creative and our clients

  • Intermediate (or expert!) experience with Mailchimp, Wix, Canva, Wordpress, Hootsuite (or other social media scheduling tools), Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • Experience and comfort interfacing directly with all walks of life, from advocates to budtenders to executives

  • Attention to detail and respect for client confidentiality

  • Cheerful and efficient customer service experience in cannabis, hospitality, travel, luxury goods, professional services, and/or general retail environments
